In a desert town where flights move and Mogao tickets sell out, that is a real risk. The most recent review, 4 stars from September 2026, had two complaints: in summer the dunes are better in the afternoon when the sun is low, and the lunch was not up to the price, with no restroom at the restaurant. The operator replied that it would review its lunch arrangements. You also give passport names and numbers at booking, for travel insurance.
